Light shines on the way ahead of me
Far away in the pitch-black sky
Like a diamond, bright, sparkling star
Calls to follow her in the night

Voices behind me call to retreat
Temptation to plunge again into the fear
Fear of the unknown still lingers inside me
Like a dagger stabbing my heart

Light shines in the sky, far away
Blinding my sore eyes now used to night
A last chance for me to walk again
The path I forgot long ago

“There is no truth, blind are your eyes
Leading you deeper into the night
Illusions of love, leaning on hope
When light will crumble no more you’ll cope”

The first rays of dawn shine upon me
Glare of red light in my eyes
Sweet warmth of the sun shines on me
Brings me back some hope of life

Hurting you always like a blunted knife
Emotions within, blinding your sight

Day is close by, clouds roll out far
Revealing a day in night
Clouds of lies and night of fright gone
